Mononoke Stay

Privacy Policy

What we collect

Through the contact form we collect your name, email, phone number, country of residence, desired dates, number of guests and your message.

Purpose

We use this only to reply to your inquiry and to communicate about a potential booking.

Storage

Inquiries are not stored in any database on this site; we use them only to reply and respond, by email to the operator.

Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Contact

For questions about your personal information, please reach us via the contact form.

Data environment

This site runs on Cloudflare (USA); handling your inquiry may involve some data processed on servers in the United States.

Guest registry

Separately from the contact form, when you stay at accommodations listed on this site we create a guest registry as required by Japan's Inns and Hotels Act and Private Lodging Business Act. Purpose: used only to create and keep the legally required guest registry, and for no other purpose. What we collect: name, address, contact details (phone and email), nationality and passport number, a copy of the passport (only for non-Japanese guests without an address in Japan), occupation (for stays under the Private Lodging Business Act), and stay dates and room name. For accompanying minors, the lead guest enters the information and gives consent. Retention: the registry is kept for three years from its creation date; because this is a legal retention requirement, we cannot honor deletion requests during this period. Where it is stored: registry information is stored on services provided by Cloudflare and Google (both in the USA), so some information is processed and stored on servers in the United States. Operator & contact: Office Takanoyama (info@mononoke-stay.com).
